Updated COVID-19 numbers were provided in four counties in the immediate KMMO listening area on Tuesday, October 27.

According to health-department officials, 27 positive cases were added in Pettis County, raising its total to 1,754 since the beginning of the pandemic. With 1,286 positive patients released from public health isolation as recovered and 26 deaths, there are 442 active cases, including 19 positive patients hospitalized.

Thirteen new positive cases were added in Carroll County since last reported on Friday, October 23, bringing its total to 233. With 192 positive patients recovered and five deaths, there are 36 active cases, including three persons hospitalized.

In Saline County, five new positive cases were added, raising the total to 1,011. Due to 927 recoveries and 14 deaths, there are 70 active cases, including six persons hospitalized.

Four new positive cases were reported in Chariton County, increasing its total to 98. With 88 positive patients recovered, there are 10 active cases.

Updates were not available from Cooper, Howard and Lafayette Counties.
