Due to a water-main break on Highway 5 in New Franklin, including Rosewood subdivision, water service was down for most of the afternoon on Wednesday, October 28.

A release from the city says all residents on Highway 5- north of New Franklin between County Roads 336 and 430 (this does not include residents on the gravel roads- only the highway) and the Rosewood subdivision were placed on a 24-hour boil order once water was restored at 5 p.m.

The boil order is scheduled to expire at 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 29.
