Saline County Treasurer Marty Smith wanted an explanation about the way some things were handled by the Saline County Commission recently.

During the meeting of the commission on Thursday, October 29, Smith asked why he was left out of a process.

Northern District Commissioner Stephanie Gooden explained.

Smith said that was not the way it was explained to him.

Gooden said Smith was not disrespected.

Smith said he doesn’t understand how this happened.

Smith said this could fall back on the commission if something is wrong.
