
The total number of positive COVID-19 cases jumped by more than 40 in an area county on Thursday, October 29.
According to health-department officials, in Pettis County, 43 new positive cases were confirmed, raising its total to 1,831 since the beginning of the pandemic. With 1,307 positive patients released from public health isolation as recovered and 26 deaths, there are 498 active cases.
In Saline County, the total positive case count grew by 17 to 1,043. Due to 943 positive patients recovered and 14 deaths, there are 86 active cases, including six persons hospitalized.
Nine new positive cases were reported in Howard County, increasing its total to 431. With 399 positive patients recovered and one death, there are 31 active cases.
Updates were not available from Carroll, Chariton, Cooper and Lafayette Counties.
