Sam Ed Yokley, age 70, of rural Sweet Springs, died Thursday, October 29, 2020, at Lakeview Nursing Center in Boonville.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs, with Rev. Alan Mueller officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at the church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Masks are strongly encouraged and social distancing will be observed at all services. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or family choice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Born September 14, 1950, in Sweet Springs, he was the son of the late Samuel A. Yokley and Ruth Hemme Yokley who survives of rural Sweet Springs. He lived in the Sweet Springs area his entire life and was a 1968 graduate of Sweet Springs High School. He served in the Missouri Army National Guard. On September 29, 1973, he married Mary Vogelsmeier who survives of the home. He was a lifetime farmer and a school bus driver for over 30 years. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

In addition to his mother and wife, Sam Ed is survived by two children, Mendy Lovercamp (Josh) and Jon Yokley (Amber) of rural Sweet Springs; and five grandchildren, Cole Lovercamp, Kinlea Lovercamp, Madisen Thornton, Bailey Thornton and Jace Yokley.
