Over the weekend, nearly four dozen more positive cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Saline County.

According to a release from Saline County Health Department Administrator Tara Brewer, as of about 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 44 new positive cases were added from Friday, October 30, increasing the total to 1,106 since the beginning of the pandemic.

With 16 more recoveries over the same time frame, bringing the total to 968, and 14 deaths, there are 124 active cases, including six positive patients hospitalized.

Updates were not available from Carroll, Chariton, Cooper, Howard, Lafayette and Pettis Counties in the immediate KMMO listening area.
