
Henry Struchtemeyer, age 93, of Mayview, died October 31, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital on the plaza.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 5, at Zion United Church of Christ Cemetery in Mayview, officiated by Reverend Jeremey Lundergan of First Methodist Church in Odessa.
Casket Bearers will be Harold Bertz, Richard Sedge, Ellis Dieckhoff, Jim Bayless, Ronnie Hawthorn, Chris Wildschuetz.
Honorary Casket Bearers will be Norman Schmutz, Cole Homfeld, Cody Homfeld.
Memorials are suggested to Camp Valor Outdoors in Kingsville, MO.

He was born December 21, 1926 in Mayview, to Edwin and Emma (Schmutz) Struchtemeyer.
Henry and Delores Baker were married on April 4, 1953 in Odessa. He served in the Navy during WWII, attaining the rank Fireman 2nd Class.
Henry worked as a mechanic for Byers Truck Lines for 30 years.
He was a member of the North American Trappers Assn., and was inducted into their hall of fame in 2017. He was also a member of the Antique Truck Club. Henry was a helpful neighbor who was always willing to lend a hand when needed, and he expected nothing in return.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Sylvan.
He is survived by his wife, Delores; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Struchtemeyer; nephew, Glen Ray Struchtemeyer (Myra); and niece, Lori Anne Struchtemeyer.
