A Marshall resident is wanting to tackle the stray cat problem in Marshall.

Meagan Whalen was at the meeting of the Marshall City Council on Monday, November 2, and explained the situation.

Whalen says she wants to comply with all ordinances and do things right.

Police Chief Mike Donnell added the city’s ordinance limits the number of pets residents can have.

No decision was made, and Mayor pro tem Chuck Hines said the council will get back with Whalen.

Whalen said she has a Facebook page set up- Winterizing Marshall and Slater Stray Cats.
