An area health department that was closed last week due to a staff member being exposed to and subsequently testing positive for COVID-19 is open this week.

Saline County Health Department Administrator Tara Brewer says it’s exciting to be back to work.

Brewer said three employees were affected by the virus.

However, Brewer says nobody else tested positive.

Brewer says about 70 percent of the employees are back at work today.

Brewer says no service the health department offers will be affected. The hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
