On Thursday, November 12, the Lafayette County Board of Trustees voted unanimously to reinstate a mask order for Lafayette County.

According to the Lafayette County Health Department, a meeting was held Monday, November 16, to announce the order. The meeting was attended by city and county officials.

The mask order is very similar to the previous one issued in August. Some dates and statistics have changed, and per discussion and board vote during Monday’s meeting, the order will now extend to school classrooms; but other activities will still follow school policy. The order is set to take effect Thursday, November 19, and will be in place until further notice.
