
Marian L. Horman, age 96, of Concordia, MO, formerly of Emma, died Friday, November 27, 2020, at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 2, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Emma with Pastor Jacob Mueller officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Masks are required at all events and social distancing will be observed. Born July 18, 1924 in Concordia, she was the daughter of the late Julius Brackman and Helene Dierker Brackman. On May 5, 1946 she married Lawrence W. Horman who preceded her in death on September 12, 2011. Marian lived in the Emma and Concordia area her entire life and was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir, was a member of the Dorcas Society and a volunteer braille worker.
Survivors include five children: Carol Boan of Sweet Springs, Marlys Rennison (Richard) of Sweet Springs, Stanley Horman (Charlene) of Sweet Springs, Judith Staples (Michael) of Sweet Springs, and Randall Horman (Regina) of rural Concordia; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Horman Guier (Dave) of Warsaw; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one sister, Elaine Bargfrede of Alma; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.
In addition to her parents and husband, Marian was preceded in death by one son, Larry Horman; one son-in-law, Michael Boan; one great-grandson, Devon Grose; two brothers, Alfred and Warner Brackman; and three sisters: Erna Brackman, Edna Brackman and Helen Ohrenberg.
