The Marshall Fire Department responded to a couple of fires just before 7 p.m. on Monday, November 30.

According to a report from the department, crews were toned out at approximately 6:51 p.m. to 380 E. Eastwood for a structure fire on an outbuilding. Upon arrival, the adjacent building, located at 400 E. Eastwood was also on fire due to being in close proximity to the outbuilding that was already engulfed when fire crews arrived.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire from advancing any further. After gaining control of the structure at 400 E. Eastwood that was salvageable, fire crews continued to work on the fire that was still burning on the original structure.

A vehicle was removed from the 400 E. Eastwood location.

Crews were on the scene for approximately one hour. The last unit left the scene around 7:51 p.m. The damage was estimated at $15,000 for each structure and $5,000 for the contents.
