The Marshall School Board met in special session on Friday, December 4 to discuss the “Returning to Learning” plan.

According to Marshall Schools Superintendent Dr. Carol Maher, recommendations were made to MPS Board of Education for revisions to the Returning to Learning Plan. Those recommendations were supported by the Board and include:

1) Students, teachers, and staff will remain in all-distance learning until Christmas break, which begins on Dec. 18th.

2) Students, teachers, and staff will return to in-seat learning on January 4, 2021.

3) Sports, music, and other activities will be addressed by administration next week and when coaches’, directors’, and sponsors’ plans and organization are ready, the Board and administration will review and communicate the plans for the return to practices, performances, and games.

4) All-distance learning will be offered through Acellus second semester.

5) Details, such as potential block scheduling for in-seat instruction, will be announced before school is dismissed on Dec. 18th.
