The Marshall City Council was asked to approve a resolution to authorize the Marshall Municipal Utilities’ Board of Public Works to withdraw a notice to terminate a water sales contract with Public Water Supply District No. 2 of Lafayette, Johnson and Saline Counties during the council meeting on Monday, December 7.

MMU General Manager Jeff Bergstrom explained.

The council approved the resolution.

In other news from the council meeting, Ward 3 Councilman Dan Brandt gave an update on the sidewalk project on South Miami Avenue.

Brandt also said the last week for yard-waste pickup will be the week of December 14-18. He also said the compost area will remain open its regular hours during the winter.
