
Over 100 positive cases of COVID-19 were added in an area county on Monday, December 7, since that county’s last report on Friday, December 4.
According to the health-department officials, in Pettis County, 123 more positive cases were reported, increasing the county’s total from 3,439 on Friday to 3,562 on Monday. With 2,693 positive patients released from public health isolation as recovered and 34 deaths, there are 835 active cases in the county.
In Saline County, nine new positive cases were added since Sunday, December 6, raising the county’s total to 1,880 since the beginning of the pandemic. Due to 1,710 recoveries – including five on Monday – and 33 deaths, there are 137 active cases, including 10 positive patients hospitalized.
Six new positive cases were confirmed in Chariton County, upping its total to 511. Due to seven COVID-19-related deaths and 384 recoveries, there are 120 active cases in the county.
Updates were not available from Carroll, Cooper, Howard and Lafayette Counties.
