
Roy Lee Hinton Jr., age 90, of Marshall, MO, died Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Graveside services, with military rites, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, December 21, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall, with William W. Harlow. Friends may call after 8 a.m. Monday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Christian Church or The Living Center Memory Care Unit.

Born September 20, 1930, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Roy Lee Hinton Sr. and Ada Hallie Land Hinton. He lived in Marshall his entire life and was a 1948 graduate of Marshall High School. On June 10, 1950, he married Mona G. Bowers who preceded him in death on January 11, 2012. He retired as postmaster with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the First Christian Church and held various positions within the church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of V.F.W. Post 2646 and American Legion Post 191, both in Marshall. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club, Marshall Optimist Club and Masonic Lodge and served on the Indian Foothills Park Board and Marshall Senior Center Board.
Survivors include one son, Gary Hinton (Karen) of Chillicothe, MO; one daughter, Cindy McKnelly (Mike) of Osage Beach, MO; four grandchildren, Brandy Burke (Jimmy), Laura Keene (Junior Saling), Drew Hinton (Taylor), and Kelsey Smith (Terrance); eight great-grandchildren, Katherine Shoenberger, Kyleigh Keene, Kourtney Keene, Kamryn Saling, Tucker Smith, Ryker Smith, Dayton Burke and Harper Burke; one sister, Norma Morrow of Deepwater, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by five sisters.
