During its meeting on Thursday, December 17, the Saline County Commission signed an agreement for electrical services for a project at Marshall Junction.

Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey Jr. gave the details.

Commissioners approved the agreement.

In other news, commissioners approved the reappointments of Jeannie Parkhurst, Connie Hays and Carol Byrd to the Saline County Board of Services for the Developmentally Disabled. Their new terms will run from January 1, 2021, through December 31, 2023.

The commission also approved the hiring of Jaclyn Woods for a door screener at the courthouse. Her full-time employment, which will qualify her for a full benefit package, will begin on January 4, 2021.

Commissioners also announced the courthouse will be closed on Thursday, December 24; Friday, December 25; Thursday December 31; and Friday, January 1, in observance of upcoming holidays.
