A 24-year-old Sedalia resident is facing a felony charge for allegedly stealing items from another person’s residence.

According to a Sedalia police report, the victim and told the officer that the suspect, Talitha M. Parkhurst had been staying at his house overnight on November 24. He said at approximately midnight, Parkhurst had loaded up two suitcases worth of his recording equipment and left the house.

The victim reported missing two suitcases; two books full of baseball cards; a GizzerTech drum machine; a Bosch vocalist recorder; and two buzz boxes. The victim values the items at $800.

Court documents say Parkhurst is charged with a Class D Felony for Stealing of $750 or More. Bond has been set at $5,000 cash or surety.

Parkhurst’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County circuit Court.
