A lengthy discussion about a proposed traffic ordinance was held during the meeting of the Marshall City Council on Monday, December 21. The proposed ordinance was changed from its original form to not allow parking on the west side to not allow parking on the east side of South Miami Avenue from West Vest to West Arrow Streets.
Ward 4 Councilman Craig Thompson said he spent time connecting with residents on the stretch of the roadway.

Police Chief Mike Donnell also gave some thoughts.
In the end, the council voted to table the decision on the first reading of the ordinance for the second time in two meetings.
