
One more COVID-19-related death was reported in the KMMO listening area on Monday, December 21.
According to the Saline County Health Department’s COVID-19 Dashboard, one more death raises the county’s total to 41 since the beginning of the pandemic. In addition, 40 more positive cases were added since the last update on Friday, December 18, to 2,099. With 41 deaths and 1,948 recoveries, there are 110 active cases in the county.
During the meeting of the Pettis County COVID-19 Task Force on Monday, the health department reported an increase of 233 new cases of COVID-19 in the past week, bringing the total to 3,908. There was an increase of 346 cases in the past two weeks. Updates of other numbers were not made available.
In Chariton County, four new positive cases increase the county’s total to 582. With 528 recoveries and 15 deaths, there are 39 active cases in the county.
Updates were not available from Carroll, Cooper, Howard and Lafayette Counties.
