Norris and his wife Becca of Stuttgart, Germany; five grandchildren, Kendall A. Guthrie, Paisley “Paisee” Ray Guthrie, Kaylee M. “K. Green and her husband Sonny of Blackwater; nine nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and nephews; and two new great-nieces. He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia A. Cobb; Buzzy, Buckshot, and Buck.
Mr. Norris was a 1975 graduate of Slater High School. In 1984, he began his love-hate relationship with the river, working for Laborers Union #662, as a deck hand, with the W.E. Ellis Company and Holiday Sand & Gravel, until retiring in 2006. There is no greater love than the love he had for his grandbabies and the woods.
