The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the entire KMMO listening area from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, December 29.

Mixed precipitation is expected with the possibility of snow accumulations Tuesday with snow and sleet accumulations of one to two inches and ice accumulations around one tenth of an inch.

Wednesday rain and snow have been predicted with low temperatures Wednesday night expected to drop to around 20-degrees and wind gusts around 25 miles per hour.

There is a 60-percent chance of snow in the forecast for Thursday evening night with freezing rain likely, possibley mixed with snow after midnight.

Drivers are encouraged to plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact your evening commute. Slow down and use caution when driving.
