Seven office holders who won election or reelection to Saline County positions during the November 3 General Election were formally sworn in on Wednesday, December 30.
In the absence of County Clerk Debbie Russell, Associate Circuit Judge Hugh Harvey first welcomed all of the persons reelected and newly-elected office holders.
Harvey then administered the Oath of Office.
The lone newcomer sworn into office was Jared Brewer. Brewer was elected to be the next Treasurer. He will be replacing outgoing Treasurer Marty Smith.
Sworn in for another term were Southern District Commissioner Monte Fenner; Public Administrator Paula Barr; Assessor Jessica Adcock Goodman; and Sheriff Cindi Mullins all for another term.
Also taking the Oath of Office was Northern District Commissioner Stephanie Gooden, who was appointed by Governor Mike Parson to fill out the unexpired term of Richard Clemens, who died while in office in December 2018.
Karlin Breshears also was sworn in as Auditor. Breshears was appointed by Governor Parson on September 1 to serve the rest of the calendar year. Longtime Auditor Tara Vogelsemeier resigned her post in July and Sandra Walter resigned as interim auditor on August 13.
All of the posts carry a four-year seat.
