
Three more COVID-19-related deaths were reported in an area county on Wednesday, December 30.
According to health-department officials, in Carroll County, the death total increased by three from 19 on December 22 to 22 on December 30. During that same period of time, 26 more positive cases were added to make its total 807 since the beginning of the pandemic. With 22 Deaths and 750 previously positive patients released from public health isolation as recovered, there are 35 active cases in the county.
Pettis County’s death toll remained at 51, but its positive case count grew by 35 up to 4,112. With 51 deaths and 3,604 total recoveries, there are 457 active cases, including 10 positive patients hospitalized.
More recoveries than new positive cases were reported in Chariton County. There were six positive cases and eight recoveries, raising those totals to 653 and 568, respectively. Due to 15 deaths and 568 recoveries, there are 70 active cases.
Updates were not available from Saline, Cooper, Howard and Lafayette Counties.
