A special session court date has been scheduled for defendants with pending cases in Saline County.
Following an order by the Missouri Supreme Court on March 19, 2020 all courts were directed to consider strategies to prevent the spread of COVID-19, hereby ordering courts to close to the public. Because of this order the Marshall Municipal Court suspended all in person proceedings from March 19 to June 6, 2020.
Several cases scheduled for in-person proceedings during that time had to be postponed. The Marshall Municipal Court made efforts to notify Defendants of the closure and new scheduled court dates via mail. Several letters were returned as undeliverable with no forwarding address.
Judge Matthew Gass has scheduled a special session court date for January 28, 2021, for defendants who the court was unable to contact to reschedule.
If you have a pending case, or are unsure if you have a pending case and have not had any contact with the court, you are urged to contact the court so your case can be added you to the January 28th docket.
Failure to contact the court and/or failure to appear on January 28, 2021 will result in the issuance of a warrant for your arrest.
You can contact the court by calling 660-886-3665.
