
New updates were available from Saline and Cooper County.
-SALINE
As of January 2, 2021, the Saline County Health Department had confirmed 2,225 cases of the virus. With 2,052 cases currently inactive and 44 deaths, 129 cases remain active.
-CARROLL
As of December 30, the Carroll County Health Department had confirmed 807 total cases of the virus. With 750 cases released from public health isolation and 22 deaths, 35 cases remain active.
-CHARITON
More cases of recoveries than new cases were reported in Chariton County on Saturday. According to the Chariton County Health Center, three new cases were reported and seven cases were released from public health isolation. This makes a total of 672 COVID-19 cases in Chariton County. With 584 of those cases released from public health isolation, and 15 deaths, 73 cases remain active.
-COOPER
As of December 30, 2020 the Cooper County Public Health Center had confirmed a total of 1,493 cases of the virus. With 1,417 cases recovered, and 15 deaths, 61 cases remain active, including five persons who remain hospitalized.
-HOWARD
There were seven new cases reported in Howard County on December 30, 2020. According to the Howard County Health Department, 923 cases have been confirmed. As of December 30, 2020, with 844 recoveries and four deaths, 75 cases remain active, including one person hospitalized.
-JOHNSON
According to the Johnson County Community Health Services, 3,678 cases of the virus have been reported, as of December 31, 2020. With 3,309 cases released from observation and 30 deaths, 339 cases remain active.
-LAFAYETTE
According to the state of Missouri’s COVID-19 Dashboard, through December 30, 2020, 2,114 cases of the virus and a total of 40 deaths have been reported in Lafayette County. That is an increase 427 new cases since last reported by the Lafayette County Health Department on December 17, 2020.
-PETTIS
Pettis County ended the year with a total of 4,186 positive cases. The Pettis County Health Center reported 3,641 cases have been released from public observation and ten people remain hospitalized. To date, there are 494 active cases in Pettis County.
