
More COVID-19-related deaths were reported in multiple area counties on Wednesday, January 6.
According to Saline County’s COVID-19 Dashboard, one more death raises the county’s total to 47 since the beginning of the pandemic. The positive case count increased by 44 to 2,350. With 47 deaths and 2,143 previously positive cases deemed inactive, there are 160 active cases in the county.
In Carroll County, one more death was added from its last update on December 30. That increases the county’s total to 23. In addition, 38 new positive cases up that total to 845. Due to 23 deaths and 784 recoveries, 38 cases remain active.
Another death raises the total to 16 in Chariton County. Ten new positive cases increase the county’s total to 712. Due to 612 recoveries and 16 deaths, there are 84 active cases in the county.
Updates were not available from Cooper, Howard, Lafayette and Pettis Counties.
