Sylvia Meyer Henley, age 95, of Sweet Springs, MO, died Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Good Shepherd Care Community in Concordia.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 8, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs, with Pastor Alan Mueller officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Born January 1, 1926 in Knob Noster, she was the daughter of the late Martin J. Meyer and Caroline Schelp Meyer. On March 8, 1946 she married George F. Henley Jr. who preceded her in death on December 10, 2011. Sylvia lived in the Sweet Springs area most of her life where she was a homemaker and member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one son, Ron Henley (Connie) of Sweet Springs; one granddaughter, Stacy Rennison (Kevin) of Sweet Springs; one great grandson, Tyler Rennison (Mady) of Concordia; one great-great grandson, Kade Rennison; three brothers: LaVern Meyer of Concordia, Verlon Meyer of the state of California and Richard Meyer of Shell Knob; as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four sisters: Delores Harms, Susie Carrender, Valeda Schnakenberg and Gloria Trent.
