The Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and its association partners are providing some very important information about Missouri’s COVID-19 vaccination effort and how it relates to the Water and Wastewater Sector.

A press release says while the state of Missouri is completing Phase 1A of vaccine distribution, Governor Mike Parson announced the initiation of Phase 1B – Tier 1 and timing for Phase 1B – Tier 2.

The Water and Wastewater Systems Sector is included in Phase 1B- Tier 3. All public and private sectors referenced are defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, with additional guidance provided by the federal Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).

At this time, several unpredictable factors, including vaccine supplies, prevent an estimation of when the COVID-19 vaccine will be available to the Phase 1B- Tier 3 sector.
