
A 77-year-old Sedalia resident died in a head-on traffic crash in Pettis County on Thursday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a westbound vehicle, driven by Mikhail Zalozh, and an eastbound vehicle, driven by 22-year-old Matthew Curry, of Columbia, each crossed the center line and collided.
Zalozh, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced deceased by Pettis County Deputy Coroner Brian Morley at 7:41 a.m. Curry was transported by private vehicle to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment of minor injuries.
The crash happened at 7:30 a.m. on Main Street Road, west of Quisenberry Road.
