
David Lee Tieman, age 58, of Alma, died Friday, January 15, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alma, with Pastor Bernard Ross and Pastor Richard Lally officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Born July 10, 1962 in Lexington, MO, he was the son of Roger Tieman, who survives of Alma and the late Iola Brunkhorst Tieman. He lived in the Alma area his entire life where he graduated from Trinity Lutheran School and was a 1980 graduate of Santa Fe High School. On September 21, 1985 he married Ann Cowherd who survives of the home. David worked as a butcher for Alma Locker, most recently Kloeppel Meats, for over 40 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, past member of the Alma Fire Department and Alma Community Club. David enjoyed attending his kids activities, recording weather statistics and being outside.
In addition to his wife, Ann; he is survived by three children: Andrew of Alma, Clayton (Bailey) of Marshall and Phoebe of Alma; his father, Roger Tieman of Alma; one brother, Kent (Amy) of Alma; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Iola Tieman; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bob and Marilyn Cowherd.
