Claude E. “Eddie” Taylor, Jr., 79, of rural Miami, MO, died Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, MO.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall, with Fr. Mark S. Smith officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery in Shackelford. Masks will be required at all services, and social distancing will be observed. Memorials are suggested to family choice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Born July 27, 1941, in Miami, he was the son of the late Claude E. Taylor Sr. and Mae Hirt Taylor. He lived in rural Miami most of his life and was a 1959 graduate of Marshall High School. On September 18, 1963, he married Barbara Ann Samson who survives of the home. He was a farmer and wood worker operating his saw mill. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; two daughters, Delynne Eddy and Teresa Taylor both of rural Miami; three grandchildren, Dorrian Browning (Justin), Derek Eddy and Danae Eddy; two great-grandchildren, Hunter Browning and Hannah Browning; three siblings, Louella Wilkinson of rural Malta Bend, MO, Walter “Jim” Taylor (Carolyn) of rural Miami and Mary Wright of rural Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Haley Grace Browning; and one nephew, Jimmy Wilkinson.
