
David Winter, age 80, of Alma, MO, died Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 26, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alma, with Pastor Bernard Ross officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, January 25, at the church. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
Masks are required at all services, and social distancing will be observed.

Born April 17, 1940, in Alma, he was the son of the late John C. Winter and Martha Lorine Meyer Winter. On October 26, 1962, he married Margot Ann Frerking who survives of the home. He was a graduate of Alma High School, lived in the Alma area his entire life and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was a lifelong farmer and helped construct I-70 highway in the 1960’s.
Survivors include his wife, Margot; three children, Darren Winter (Marilyn) of Alma, Ricci Cook (Doug) of Sweet Springs, MO and Andrette Prather (David) of Kearney, MO; five grandchildren, Cord Winter (Kelsey), Chelsea Bargfrede (Taylor), Cole Prather, Claire Prather and Carter Lee Prather; two great-grandchildren, Hallie Winter and Cooper Bargfrede; three siblings, Larry Winter (Mary Ellen), Joyce Kurth (Bob) and John Winter (Nancy) all of Alma; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by one sister, June Schmidt.
