A 32-year-old Knob Noster man had to be flown from the scene of a rollover traffic crash in Johnson County on Wednesday.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as an eastbound vehicle, driven by Jesse Knaus, traveled off the right side of the roadway, returned to the roadway, crossed the center line, traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a tree, became airborne, struck a culvert, overturned and came to rest after it struck another section of the culvert.

Knaus, who was not wearing a seat belt, was flown by Life Flight Eagle helicopter to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment of serious injuries.

The crash happened at 1:05 p.m. on Route V, east of 251st Road.
