Two more COVID-19-related deaths were reported in an area county on Monday, January 25.

According to the Saline County COVID-19 Dashboard, the two deaths raise the county’s total to 52 since the beginning of the pandemic. In addition, the positive case count grew by 20 from 2,573 on Sunday to 2,593 on Monday. Due to 52 deaths and 2,439 previously-positive cases now deemed inactive, there are 102 active cases- up three from Sunday- in the county.

One more positive case was reported in Chariton County, raising its overall total to 784. But with five previously-positive cases released from public health isolation as recovered, increasing that total to 721, and 18 deaths, there are 45 active cases in the county.

Updates were not available from Carroll, Cooper, Howard, Lafayette and Pettis Counties.
