With the temperature under the freezing mark, roads in the KMMO listening area have become slick overnight, which has caused several school districts in the area to be closed today.
According to administrators, Prairie View State School in Marshall; Brunswick R-2; Concordia R-2; Cole Camp R-1; E. W. Thompson State School in Sedalia; Gilliam C-4; Hardeman R-10; Hardin-Central; Lafayette County C-1 Schools in Higginsville; La Monte; Miami R-1; Norborne R-8; Northwestern at Mendon; Odessa R-7; Orearville R-4; Otterville R-4; Pettis County R-5 in Houstonia and Hughesville; Sacred Heart in Sedalia; Santa Fe Schools in Alma and Waverly; Sweet Springs R-7; and Trinity Lutheran in Alma are closed.
Slater schools will be starting late today. The teachers are to arrive at 9:30, with the students at 10 a.m.
