A Clinton man has been charged with felonies after allegedly leading authorities on a high-speed pursuit that reached speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour on November 3, 2020.

According to a report from a Pettis County Deputy, the suspect vehicle left Temp Stop in Sedalia and headed south on U.S. Highway 65. The deputy said he tried to catch up the vehicle, but it was traveling at 114 miles per hour. The deputy activated his emergency lights, but the vehicle continued at a high rate of speed into Benton County, at which time the pursuit was terminated.

Checking out video surveillance from Temp Stop, the driver was identified as Brandon Dee Rollett. At the time of the report, Rollett was in possession of a stolen Ford Mustang out of Henry County. On December 1, the deputy received information from a Sedalia Police officer that he had recovered a stolen black Ford Mustang. The vehicle in the photographs matched the one the deputy was pursuing on November 23.

Court documents say Rollett is charged with a Class D Felony for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree and Class E Felony for Resisting Arrest for a Felony.

Rollett’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
