Mitchell Hager, 64, of Slater, died Thursday, January 28, 2021 at his home.

Per his request, he was cremated, and no services will be held.

Memorials are suggested to an education fund for his daughter in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.

Born May 30, 1956 in Marshall, he was the son of the late William Fred Hager and Helen Genell Hardin Hager.  On January 9, 1986 in Marshall, he married Patricia Windmiller, and she survives of the home.

Also surviving are two sons, Kent Hager of Cameron, and David Hager of Slater; a daughter, DawnAnn Hager of Slater; three grandchildren; and a brother, David “Grady” Hager of Slater.  He was preceded in death by two sisters.

Mr. Hager worked for a number of years as a painter for Luther Smith Painting & Decorating.  He later worked as a self-employed painter.
