Following a traffic stop on August 16, a drug-related felony charge has been filed against a 50-year-old Independence woman.
According to a Lafayette County Sheriff’s deputy’s report, he located multiple drug-related items inside the vehicle- including multiple baggies of methamphetamine, as well as digital scales and other drug-related items.
Bond has been set at $25,000 cash only, and Tammy Lee Stauffer has been charged with a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance and a drug-related misdemeanor.
Stauffer entered a plea of not guilty during her arraignment hearing on September 17.
The court denied Stauffer’s Motion for Bond Reduction on January 19. A Motion for Change of Venue was not taken up at that court proceeding. A Plea/Trial Setting is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Monday, February 1 at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
