A 31-year-old Odessa man is facing multiple charges following a traffic stop in October.
According to a probable-cause statement, on October 21, 2020, a law-enforcement officer located a THC pen; a loaded clear glass pipe that later tested positive for methamphetamine; 45 clonazepam and seven oxycodone pills; a small digital scale; and a loaded 12-gauge shotgun when they searched the vehicle.
Court documents say Zackary Jacob Stewart is charged with five counts of a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance; a Class E Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon; and a drug-related misdemeanor. On December 21, the court reduced the original $10,000 cash only bond to $5,000 cash or surety. Steward posted $5,000 surety bond on January 19.
Stewart pleaded not guilty during his arraignment hearing on December 21. A Plea/Trial Setting is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Monday, February 1, at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
