fitzgibbon-hospital-1-7-21

Amy Weber, Manager of Business Development and Government Relations at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, was at the meeting of the Marshall City Council on Monday, February 1, and gave a quick synopsis of all involved with COVID-19 testing and vaccinations.

Weber said to date, the hospital has administered nearly 21,000 COVID-19 tests since the beginning of the pandemic. Weber said vaccinations began in December with a redistribution agreement with the Johnson County Health Department.

Marshall City Administrator David Haugland says the process was seamless for him.

Weber says the hospital should be getting more vaccine soon.

Weber says anybody who is interested in signing up to receive the vaccine should go to www.fitzgibbon.org/preregister.

Weber recommends residents who want the vaccine to sign up on Fitzgibbon’s’s site as well as the Saline County Health Department’s site at salinecountyhealthdepartment.com. Weber says if you are called, and you’ve already received the vaccine, then they will just move on to the next person on the list.
