After a reported vehicle pursuit in Pettis County on Monday, February 1, an Otterville resident is facing a felony charge.

According to a report from the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department, a law-enforcement officer attempted to make a traffic stop on Route H near Georgetown. However, before the officer could get out of his vehicle, the suspect vehicle took off. It was pursued on several rural roads, and a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper deployed stop sticks at the intersection of Georgetown Road and U.S. Highway 65. The deflation of two of the vehicle’s tires did not disable it, and the driver continued on other streets in Sedalia and blew through a stop light. The driver eventually lost control on South Ingram, and the vehicle slid sideways and ran into a parked vehicle. Jackie Renae Jensen, who told the law-enforcement officer the passenger in the vehicle kept telling her to stop, but she decided to keep running from law enforcement, was arrested.

Court documents say Jensen is charged with a Class E Felony for Resisting Arrest by Fleeing and two driving-related misdemeanors. Bond is set at $25,000 cash or surety.

Jensen’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
