During its meeting on Thursday, February 4, Saline County Commissioners opened bids for various products and services as well as health insurance coverage for county employees.

The commission opened bids for products from Poppy’s Remodeling and Design of Marshall; Brad Russell Pipe Sales LLC of Nelson; Viebrock Sales LLC of Sedalia; Skyline Materials of Gilliam; and Boone Quarry of Marshall.

The commission also opened a bid from Gerding, Korte and Chitwood to conduct the county’s annual audit. It is for a two-year contract.

In addition, the commission opened bids from six health-insurance providers: Group Insurance Services of Brunswick and Columbia; ECCHIC of St. Louis; Naught-Naught Agency of Marshall; D. Phillips Insurance LLC of Chillicothe; and First State Insurance Agency of Hannibal.

Commissioners voted to take all of the bids under advisement and announce their decision at a future meeting.
