
A Sedalia man is facing a couple of felonies for alleged criminal activity that took place at a storage unit on December 16.
According to a report from the Sedalia Police Department, officers were dispatched to an area business after a witness reported a subject jumping the fence and entering the Rac-Jac Storage on Green Ridge Road.
Investigating officers witnessed Adam Shephard exit one of the units, carrying a green duffle bag. Officers found that Shephard had a broken lock in his pocket. Near the duffle bag, which Shephard had discarded as he briefly attempted to elude authorities, officers located a tire iron with a straight edge and another tool with a forked end.
Shephard is charged with a Class D Felony for Burglary in the Second Degree and a Class E Felony for Possession of Burglary Tools. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.
His case has been continued to Tuesday, February 9 at 1:30 p.m. for Preliminary Hearing.
