A new variant of Coronavirus is being tracked in Missouri.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services have reported its first case of B117 COVID-19 variant. This case was found in Marion County, which is in Northeast Missouri.

According to the CDC, this variant can spread faster. This variant of the virus was first detected in September 2020 in the United Kingdom.

Since Thursday, the CDC has reported 611 cases of this variant in 33 states in the USA.
