A Boonville man is facing felony charges after an alleged incident on May 31, 2020.

Derek Allen Bruce is accused of threatening a man with a hammer during an altercation at Lucky’s Eagle Stop. Bruce also allegedly spat in another persons face during the dispute.

Bruce is charged with two counts of a Class E Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon- Exhibiting; and a misdemeanor for assault in the fourth degree. Bruce’s bond was revoked after he failed to appear for a scheduled court proceeding in July.

This case is set for Trial Setting at 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 10 at Cooper County Circuit Court.
