Temperatures remain around single digits and wind chills are sub-zero in much of the KMMO listening area, prompting several school districts to be closed, while others will be on a late-start schedule and still others will be distance learning on Thursday, February 11.

According to the administrators, Prairie View State School in Marshall will be closed. Also closed will be E. W. Thompson State School in Sedalia; Miami R-1; Henry County R-1 in Windsor; Orearville R-4; Otterville; Pettis County R-5 in Houstonia and Hughesville; Pettis County R-12 at Dresden; Pilot Grove C-4 and St. Joseph in Pilot Grove; Sacred Heart in Sedalia; Sweet Springs R-7; and Trinity Lutheran in Alma.

Odessa R-7 is on a two-hour, delayed-start schedule, and Hardin-Central will start at 10 a.m.

In addition, Marshall Public Schools will be distance learning. Also distance learning online will be Blackwater; Gilliam C-4; Hardeman R-10; and Slater.
