UPDATED AT 7:25 A.M.

With west-central Missouri continuing to be in the deep freeze, with actual temperatures being in the single digits and wind chills registering at dangerous levels below zero, several school districts will be closed on Friday, February 12. In addition, some school districts will be distance learning.

According to district administrators, Blackwater will be closed today. Also closed today will be Concordia R-2; Gilliam C-4; Lexington R-5; Odessa R-7; Orearville R-4; Otterville; Pilot Grove C-4 and St. Joseph in Pilot Grove; Santa Fe Schools in Alma and Waverly; Slater; and Sweet Springs R-7.

Hardin-Central was going to be in session on a two-hour, delayed-start schedule; but administrators now say the school is going to be closed today.

Marshall Public Schools will be distance learning, as will Hardeman R-10; Malta Bend R-5; and Northwestern at Mendon.
