A 33-year-old Carrollton man is facing a felony charge for allegedly leaving the scene of an accident on October 3, 2020.

According to a probable-cause statement, a law-enforcement officer was dispatched to the report of a hit-and-run accident at Casey’s General Store in Carrollton that left a gas pump on its side.

After further investigation, authorities identified the suspect vehicle as belonging to Preston Kyle Fiddick.

Court documents say Fiddick is charged with a Class E Felony for Leaving the Scene of an Accident – Property Damage Exceeding $1,000 and a misdemeanor for driving while revoked or suspended. Fiddick’s bond was amended to ROR bond with special conditions.

Fiddick pleaded not guilty during a court proceeding on February 1. His case has been continued and his next court proceeding is scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 3 at Carroll County Circuit Court.
