All three suspects accused of multiple felonies, including kidnapping, nearly three years ago are scheduled to have a court proceeding scheduled this week.

A release from the Higginsville Police Department says on April 26, 2018, authorities arrived at the scene of the reported kidnapping at the Super 8 Motel in Higginsville and arrested the three men, who allegedly held two females against their will; raped and assaulted them; and demanded ransom money.

Jaciel Acdala Mendez-Morales, who is now 21 years old, 25-year-old Alain Gaspar Camarillo-Linan and 24-year-old Luis Angel Sierra-Vallina have been charged with multiple felonies- including Class A Felonies for Kidnapping in the First Degree; Unclassified Felonies for Rape or Attempt; and Unclassified Felonies for Sodomy or Attempt. Mendez-Morales and Sierra-Vallina are being held on $500,000 and Camarillo-Linan on $750,000 cash-only bond at the Lafayette County Jail.

Each defendant pleaded not guilty on April 30, 2018.

A case review for Sierra-Vallina is set for 8:45 a.m. and pre-trial conferences for Mendez-Morales and Camarillo-Linan are scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday, February 18, at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
